CANADIAN COALITION FOR SPORT EQUITY

A national network and
resource hub convened
by Play for Dignity

ABOUT CCSE

The Canadian Coalition for Sport Equity (CCSE) is an emerging national network working to make sport, play and movement more equitable, accessible and community-led. Play for Dignity serves as its founding backbone, convening members and supporting the coalition’s development.

Born from conversations at PowerShift 2026, and shared frustrations at navigating the same challenges in isolation, CCSE responds to the need for sustained connection, shared capacity, and collective action.

The Coalition is also inspired by other global movements for Sport Equity and collective action from around the world including the Coalitions for Sport Equity (USA) and Sport for Development Coalition (UK).

THE CCSE is for organizations that believe every person deserves a safe, welcoming place in sport and play, free from barriers, and are working to make that real. Member organizations may designate one or more representatives to participate in coalition activities.

GET INVOLVED

The resource hub is currently being piloted in Toronto with the goal of rolling out local chapters across Canada. If you are a sport for development organization or organization working to advance sport equity in Canada, please get in touch.
